If it's available in your area, Verizon DSL is around 15 bucks.

If you have access to cable broadband, that is faster (3 times) than DSL (1.5 mbps) and they always have specials for 3 to 6 months.
Since they don't require a contract and someone who hasn't been a customer for 91 days is a new customer, you can (switching with one other person) have their special in an ongoing manner.
Price between $19.95 and $26.95 a month.
Been doing that for 2.5 years.

For $10-$30 you're probably looking at DSL, not cable internet. Check and see what's available in your area and shop around for the best price.

See if your current phone company has a DSL service. Usually if you get DSL from your phone company it's cheaper. If not, try AT&T Yahoo.

if you can get DSL then get it. most of the time its cheeper than dial anyway. i mean come on its like 13$/mo for AT&T DSL! (you have to order online for that price)
