You will need a passport yes. Starting Jan 8th 2007 it will be required for travel to Mexico, Caribbean, Canada, S. America, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Etc.

Playa Del Carmen is a beautiful area. There are several resorts to choose from that are great. However I would strongly advice working through an agent who can assist you in finding the right one for you by asking you various questions to determine this. Because what is right for you, might not for another.

Not all agents are good with this, you just have to find one that is.

If you would like I could help you in starting the arrangements or looking into prices. At this point in time you are not going to want to book yet, but it is a good idea for the best rates to book in advance.

If I don't hear from you either way have a Fantastic time in Mexico!

Not if you are going before december 31st 2006 and are a US citizen. Just make sure you take your birth certificate and a valid ID. If you are married or have changed your name you will need your marriage cert. and or name change certificate.
