I'm not looking for a scientific study, I just want your personal opinion and what you think about the 'emo culture'.

Emo people are just regular normal people with a certain style and music taste. My friend is Emo is she a really cool person. Alot aren't popular because they don't care to be and alot of people think being popular is superficial. But then again you can't help it if you are popular.

Emo people are very unpopular because they are viewed as creepy, depressing with all the black, they look ugly with their nasty hair cuts, tight jeans which crush the balls to a million little peices, that manorexic look (they are centimeters away from dying). Also, they smell like homeless people with their thrift store clothes. Plus with their music, these emo people dont know the concept of music.Their music is so horrible that they sound like 4 year olde whining to their mommies about a tiny booboo. I think they are the manure of society. They need to fall out in a ditch somewhere in the middle of nowhere

Cuz the cheerleaders and basketball players said they are. In my school, the emo group's very friendly, and most of them are really energetic. They seem like really nice people...I hang out with a lot of them...but I wouldn't go so far as to call me an emo...thats just not my style

Not meant to offend, just my opinion. Emo people are viewed as kinda weird and as people who would rather be left alone to do their own thing.

It's a close cousin of the Goth culture. It's very depressing to some and some people just don't want to be unhappy.

It's probably because it's very different from the other people. They tend to find them creepy, so people don't even try to socialize with them. It's just because they don't "fit in". But I don't really give a crap though, if I'm popular or not. It will pass..

faucet people-- never know if their running hot or cold friendly or cold-shouldered? personal tragedy(death) can be dealt with but chemical disorder(bi-polar) requires a truly loving to put up with the UNTREATED ups and downs TREATED can be much more tolerated

um probbly b/c they can creep people out by talking about death and demons and cutting, plus if there always depressed they make other people depressed-- not all emo people are like that thou
