my best pick would be the new 3 series.

yeah it's not the m5 or the m3

but it's got a inline 6 with twin turbo and all wheel drive.

power and luxury combined.

what a sweet combo.

That depends on what is important to you. I personally feel the triple "jet black" 328i with the 16" wheel option (sport package) convertible is the best. The engine is the reliable 325 block with some time tested and proven modifications, which make it faster and give it 21-23 more horsepower than the 325. I also think it is the nicest style BMW has had if any of its cars ever! Just sitting there parked, the car just looks fast. It is just the epitome of perfect design. I have never had a ny problem with it whatsoever. The more i hit the gas, the faster it wants to go. sometimes it gets scary. I dont know how so much power can come out of a straight 6? The car is fast enough for me! I even beat a new 330 convertible, 3 consecutive times, and i have no modifications at all. I dont need them. Well thats my opinion. Compare the body styles and you'll see what I mean. Happy hunting.

For me, it is the BMW M5 (507hp) (A lot of a 5.0 L engine)

Look at 0-100km/h - 4.5 Seconds (That's fast, I don't know many sedans faster than that) That can even compete with some of the greatest sports cars in the world.

Top Speed - 250 Km/h (With Limiter) about 330 Km/h (Without Limiter), That is enough to beat many Ferraris and also the Mercedes SL Mclaren

Jeremy Clarkson thinks it is one of the best cars he has driven of all time.

The car also has great steering, ride and all those other stuff and also a pretty interior.

There is no such thing as the best BMW. The company, just like every other tries to make cars to fit every personality, and budget. Of course since it's not possible to please all the people all the time, these are generically made with the most common options technically possible. In order to find the best BMW for your needs and budget, you'd really need to visit www.bmw.com and select the build my own BMW option. Then you can choose all the options that would make the car comfortable for you, and install them in the car that most suits your needs and budget. There is no formula for success, you'll have to do like the rest of us, and research research research. Good Luck.

The best BMW doesn't even come with a BMW badge on the bonnet. It's the McLaren F1. Power by a 6.1l M Power V12 BMW Engine. Nothings beats that... not the M6, M5, M3 or even the new Ferrari.

Officially it's a late 90s/early 00s 523i

It has regularly been voted the best all round car (even today, 8 years later).

BUT - I would much rather have an 1995 850CSi. Second would be a 1989 M635CSi and then a 1975 2002 Turbo.

A 1975 3.0 CSL (Batmobile) would come near the top of the list as well.

BMW E30 M3 (86-91)

According to Wikipedia: "Having won more road races than any other model in history, the E30 M3 is considered by many to be the world's most successful road race car."

According to Performance BMW: "The E30 M3 remains one of the most rewarding drivers' cars ever produced."

Sports Car International named this car number six on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1980s.

According to Top Speed: "Top speed and sprint to 60 mph were not astonishing, but the M3’s true ability laid with its perfect balance, sublime handling and a real-world driving experience that was second to none."

Unlike the E36 and E46 M3, the original M3 wasn't developed for the sports car market, but specifically for homologation in Group A touring car racing.

I could go on, but I think you get the idea.
