I agree, they are able to hire the best lawyers. However, my mother has shown me not to settle for the answers they give you if your in a situation. You do have rights also. You just have to know how to keep pushing and fighting for what you deserve. My mother recently had a situation where a man had road rage and got out of his car and kicked in her tail lights. He was brought to court, admitted to doing it and was fined. A while later my mother got a letter that stated that the time limit was up and the paper work didn't get completed so she was out the money owed her for her car. She took the letter and wrote everyone she could think of. The judge, prosecutor, county attorney, even the paper. She stated that not only was she the victim when he kicked out her lights... but she was the victim again when the system failed her. In the end they did take a look at what happened and made sure she got her money. Point being, don't give up.

Some people without money think that, too (or at least ignore the law). I think most people (money or not) would try to hire the best lawyer when they get in trouble. Good lawyers give you better odds of getting off the hook. May not always be fair, but it's probably worse to forbid good lawyers to practice or rich people to hire them.

Because far too often, they can hire the top-notch lawyers and professional witnesses who can get them off.

We're all equal, but some are more equal than others.

This country is all about money.....and the ones with the money get to do pretty much whatever they want to do without any consequences.

That's why I'm against the death penalty.

Because a lot of times they can pay their way out or through things..

In my town recently this kid broke in and raped a lady ..took a month to catch him..once in jail and charged his grandparents pay $50,000 to bail him out!!......thankfully I heard they were able to charge him with something else to keep him in....so far. Guess all his life he's been doing crap and his grandparents bail him....

Not all people with money think that. It depends on the person. When they think that they are stupid, and one day they will get caught. Ha!
