All it takes is the actions of a few to ruin it for the whole bunch. Sorry!

Hmm...well it sounds like there was a problem and they are trying to protect you. It'll probably mellow out in a few weeks. In a month or so, if you are hugging a girlfriend hello or an innocent hug to your bf, I doubt a teacher will bother you. However, if you're making out with you bf in public then they'll probably get on your case. Ultimately it sounds like they are trying to protect you from getting harassed by guys. Which could be a serious problem for a few girls. Try to think of them...they could have been really upset by some jerk of a guy basically sexually assaulting her.

You can't please everyone. Someone who isn't getting a hug, will get mad. Someone giving a hug, gets carried away. Someone(s) getting and receiving a hug, forget that they are at school. It's a no win situation. It's better for the school just to make the rule "No Hugs", then no one gets turned in for something, they did or did not do.

That's the bullsh*t world with the politically correct people. Everyone is paranoid about being involved with a lawsuit. So, see, it's just real simple to begin banning everything. NO ONE wants to take responsibility !

Classic government. Punish everybody not the offender. Watch out for anarchy.

When I first saw this, I thought it was for "health" reasons. Someone did that to me, (something inappropiate), and I kneed him. It's embarassing, and they think they can get away with their crap. If you girls don't like it, do something.( Now ya'll can't even hug the ones you really want to.)

The people who run schools get way too upset over the smallest things. They blow stuff way out of proportion. The way they overreact makes me wonder about their sanity at times.

It sucks, but if people are reported being touched in an inappropriate manner, then it's the best solution I suppose.
