I'm hearing Hillary Clinton, but is the country ready for a woman president?

On political know how and brains, Hillary is the best candidate. Yet, I agree with you, I don't know if the country is ready. And I don't know if women would vote for her. Right now there's not strong democratic presidential candidate but in two years that could change. After alll, former Prez Clinton started his campaign as a little known Governor from Arkansas.

Barack Obama in my opinion is the best choice for the President. Again, it depends on the woman. If Rosa Parks was still alive and running I would definatly vote for her. I would not vote for Hilary if I could (I'm Canadian, live in Canada and I'm under 18.) I wouldn't simply because she's too much of a talk de talk celebrity and not someone who really understands and takes ACTION for the better need of others. Barack Obama seems to be like that. Same with what Rosa Parks. If Martin Luther King was the President. That would be the greatest victory in American history.

No one right now. Hillary is the best person to run in 08 if the Democrats want to lose.Yes this country is ready for a women president if the right one comes along. She could be Republican Or Democrat , as long as she is a moderate.

Haven't seen a qualified candidate yet. Best the Democrats can field seems to be Barack Obama (now that they have turned on Joe Lieberman) and Obama is just the plain old liberal party line, with a lot of showing off for the press. Nothing good has come out of Illinois since Ronald Reagan.

Hillary is an interesting woman and I personally would consider voting for a woman president, but Hillary is not my choice. I think Conndi is cuter and therefore, better qualified!

I'm kidding folks!

But, yes, I think we are ready for a lady president! But is the rest of the world ready for that? How would they respond? Does it matter? I think so!

IMHO,

I'm hearing Hilliary Clinton also. I think the country is more ready for a woman president than at any other time in our history. I think a contest between her and John McCain would be very interesting.

I don't like this result--but this is my prediction (there are some old entries on my Yahoo blog if you want to review the reasoning): If the Democrats are smart enough to nominate Hillary (and that is a big "if" since they are prone to self-destruction) the only Republican who can beat her is Condi Rice.

Hillary has said she will not run. I think your right, this country is not ready for a woman. Since kerry won the last election, I think he could win again. Allot depends on how much the Republicans cheat next time. Republicans have a problem with fraud in office on many counts. When Democrats win the Senate the fraud in office will come out over the next two years. I fully expect that Bush will be impeached for his lies and un lawful acts in Office.
