In some cases, it would depend on the musician, but for the most part, who cares if it's weird? They're your kids, and if you want to give them unique names, or just ones to honor your favorite musical artists, then why not?

It honestly depends on which musician you are naming them after. I'm not sure I'd want my child named Slash or Axl...I'm more into traditional names, so that would be my deciding factor. Of course, you are free to name your children whatever you want. Just remember that the child is the one that has to live with that name for the rest of their life. Don't do anything that you will regret later.

I don't think it's weird. I would rather name my kid Jimi Hendrix than name it after a fruit or vegetable!
Of course, it would be a little weird to name your kid Boy George or something like that. That's just asking for a playground beating!

I guess its up to the parents./ A friend of my sisters named her 2 kids after a race car driver, her daughters name is Casey, and her sons name is Cain... I thought it was weird!
Some people name their kids after the days of the week!lol

i assume you're able to desire to think of approximately how your toddler feels with a recognition which isnt quite his... it become somebody else's who you 'borrowed'. I dont know your final call, yet I cant think of many names sounding astonishing with the above alternatives. My mom who teaches 1st grade has had some toddlers come by using her classification with names like Jesse James, and Ida Trout... detrimental issues! I even stated I didnt innovations being named after a track in answer to your different ?. i could lean greater in direction of doing that.
