The usual route is to hire a literary agent -- but that is expensive. I read about another alternative -- there is "a new and lucrative literary prize" called the Sobol Award. It offers $100,000 U.S. for "the best unreleased, agentless novel." $25,000 and $10,000 for runners-up. If you submit a manuscript, you have to pay an $85 entry fee. The website is www.sobolaward.com
