i'm wondering what the main element or chemical is in common paint that is on cars?...any ideas would help thanks

I believe auto paint is an oil-based enamel....so kinda like liquid plastic I think.

older paints were primarily oil-base enamels. most modern factory paints are water-base enamel. the color itself is apigment
