Tennessee Stud
Back about 18 and 25 I left Tennessee very much alive. I never would have made it through the Arkasas mud if hadn't been riding on a Tennessee stud. Had some trouble with my sweethearts paw. One of her brothers was a bad outlaw. I wrote a letter to my uncle Fud and I rode away on the Tennessee stud. The Tennessee stud was long and lean. The color of the sun and his eyes were green. He had the nerve and he had the blood. There never was a horse like the Tennessee stud. Rode on down into no mans land. Across the river called the Rio Grand. Raced my horse with a spaniards fowl till I got me a skin full of silver and gold. Me and the gambler we couldn't agree. We got in fight over Tennessee. We pulled our guns and he fell with a thud and I rode away on the Tennessee stud. The Tennessee stud was long and lean. The color of the sun and his eyes were green. He had the nerve and he had the blood. There never was a horse like the Tennessee stud. I rode right back across Arkansas. I whooped her brother and I whooped her paw. I found the girl with the golden hair and she was riding on a Tennessee mare. Pretty little baby on the cabin floor. Little horse colt playing by the door. I love the girl with golden hair and the Tennessee stud loves the Tennessee mare. The Tennessee stud was long and lean. The color of the sun and his eyes were green. He had the nerve and he had the blood. There never was a horse like the Tennessee stud.

Just from the American series, I'd say:
Down There By the Train
Unchained
I See a Darkness
The Man Comes Around
Hurt
Father and Son (on the Unearthed box set)
Pocahontas (Unearthed)

rusty cage was a soundgarden song, not offspring
johnny's best song was "cocaine blues"
one hell of a song for the 60's i think
a close second is "jackson" with june carter.
the best song of his from the america recordings is "i see a darkness" from american III - solitary man.
