There were the "Hits" albums...
which I think got to about number 15 before they stopped...
All I remember is Hits 1 came out in about 1981 and had Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jnr on it on side 2 of a double vinyl album
Also Hits 10 had Eternal Flame by the Bangles on it....

there was the 'Hits' collection, not sure how many were in the series, but i have volume no. 5, so there were at least that many in the series.....
