There are a few things you need to check. First off though, what kind of car is it? Have you been using the air conditioning? Have you checked the coolant level? Is the car running hot? Do you smell a sweet smell inside the car, or a musty smell? Has it been raining where you are? Has your car been in an accident? How long have you noticed the wetness? Answering these questions will help narrow down the possibilities. You could have a plugged evaporator drain, a leaking heater core, or a leak in the body that is allowing outside water in.

I assume you mean Heater core and it would be a logical assumption.I would also recommend checking your radiator for proper coolant level.Your coolant storage tank would be the easiest to check. If your coolant level isn't going down you have a defective seal on the windshield or around the doors.Don't be to hasty to assume it is the heater core unless it is antifreeze on your floorboard assuming you have antifreeze in your radiator.Take Care and May God Bless You.

usually only the passenger side will be wet if the heater core has gone out, it sounds like you might have a windshield leak. If the water you see looks like and smells like anti-freeze then it is your heater core.

If you are losing coolant it could be the heater core. But if coolant is ok its probably the windsheild leaking.

check the cowl at the bottom of your windsheild. if it is clogged with leaves or other debris, it won't allow the water to drain.
