depends on what your listening to, different kinds of music relax a human or excite them, most the time it's a consintration thing. It helps most people consintrate, can't spell that word either lol

obviously much more than what we realize -
it causes some to react by the words given in the song
it causes some to become violent
it causes some to relax
it causes tranquil mood to an area
it causes subliminal thoughts to us (why do you think it is always playing in stores commercials included)

soothing, relaxing, energizing, provoking, heroic as in making you feel powerful, headachy(country), it can even make you act differently than usual. Its amazing what it all can do.
