The antioxidants from red grapes are good for heart health. I don't think there is any definitive study showing that drinking a glass of red wine a day will make you live longer, and if so by how much. There are so many other factors that go into how long you live, and how healthy your heart is, that it is very difficult to acertain such a thing with certainty.

Other factors include: genetics, diet, exercise, smoking etc. I suspect that those factors are more important than whether or not you drink wine daily.

It is important to note, that the benefit is only from drinking moderate amounts of red wine, i.e. a glass or two a day. Drinking more than that introduces other problems that result in it being unhealthy. If you like red wine, then drink some occasionally. If you don't, then don't.

Red wine contains plenty of antioxidants that fight off aging and prevent diseases such as cancer. Of course, anything in excess is bad for you, especially alcohol. So, keep everything in moderation.
