if you can carve a pumpkin then put it in the deep freezer and pull it out later when i am ready to display it. I know that you can carve a pumpking then seal it with plastic wrap and put it in the refridgerator but i don't have much room in my fridge, so i wonder if the freezer would hurt my pumpkin.

I think it would. After the pumpkin defrosts, it will be a little mushy and soft. I was at the fabric store the other day, and they had true to life Styrofoam pumpkins that you could actually carve and put a light ( NOT A CANDLE) it, and it really looked real. They ran any where between $3 & $12 depending on the size. I live in Conn. and the place where I saw them was JoAnn's Fabric.

Freezing it would probably make it mushy once you take it out of your freezer as it thaws.

I'd wait until this weekend to carve. If you live in a cooler area, like the Mid West, set it outside after you carve it and it will keep it from decomposing as fast.

hmm, I would think when it defrosts it would sort of liquify. I would suggest going and getting a small one, just do something sort of generic in the carving realm and the defrost it after a day or two and see how it is. The length of time its frozen shouldn't have anything to with its performance so to speak.
