guns n roses, bon jovi, nirvana, iron maiden or black sabbath?

I'd say it's neck and neck between Bon Jovi, Guns'n'Roses, and Nirvana. Of the three, Bon Jovi's "Best of" collection would be the best: his best fifteen songs are probably more fun to listen to than Nirvana or Guns' fifteen best. Guns'n'Roses have the best album for pure listening -- put the top down, crank "Appetite for Destruction" and drive really fast out on the open road, and it tops anything the other guys made.
But Nirvana got the last laugh: they came along a little later than the other four's primes and made them all obselete. Smells Like Teen Spirit is by far the best song any of those five bands made, and probably the most important song of the 1990s. It took a fire hose and blasted all the over-produced, solo-heavy, glitter-slick hair-spray and eye-makeup 1980s style metal right off the scene and straight into irrelevance with four chords and a wailing chorus. And the rest of the album Nevermind was an equally raw, raggedy, intense statement. Not as much fun as Appetite for Destruction, but more memorable.
And Nevermind changed music more -- without Nevermind, grunge would never have taken off (smashing pumpkins, pearl jam), nor would the bands imitating grunge (matchbox 20 comes to mind) have taken off, nor would the bands imitating the bands imitating grunge (Creed) have taken off. . . but we can't hold that against Nirvana, can we? can we?

Out of those lot? There is no contest, Nirvana. The rest are really bad, especially Bon Jovi.

By the way Nirvana made Grunge popular... Pixies invented it....

I definately agree with the person who answered b4 me. but I'd have to say Bon- jovi b/c every 1 I know goes to their concerts

bon jovi are crap, nirvana are cool, but i would have to say metallica are by far the best...

Bonjovi, omg, The best band for me. I have every album they have ever done. I have 408 photo's of Jon, i have just been to see them this June and i love love love them, I like the other Bands you mentioned but BONJOVI are the best. 1 million Bonjovi fans can't be wrong, Have a nice day.
