I'm about to turn 16, and I love both of this cars. I would get an '05 -'06, cause I don't quite like the '07s. I'm wondering whether I want to get a tahoe z71 or yukon denali. I know the denali is nicer, but I really like the z71 too. You have to consider the suspension in the z71 because it's got the special drive package. I don't think they are that different on the inside. I would get navigation and headrest tv's on either, but i'm torn.

And no one say escalade, cause I don't like those.

you are 16 be gald you are getting either one of those, my 16 year old is working his tail off just to buy an old 95 gmc sonoma for $3500 and yes we both dislike your being handed a 30,000+ truck just because you like it. so much for working to get what you want!

Nearly identical vehicles. Most of the parts come from the same parts bin. The engines, transmissions, differential, electronics, etc all come from the same factories and are nearly identical and interchangeable. Since either vehicle is so similar both will last as long as the other. However no vehicle that I know of comes with an expiration date. There is no way of knowing just how long a particular vehicle will last. Too many variables involved. Variable such as: How did the previous owner(s) maintain the vehicle How did the previous owner(s) use the vehicle Did the previous owner(s) abuse the vehicle Did the previous owner(s) drive the vehicle mostly in the city or on the highway How well will you maintain the vehicle How will you use the vehicle Will you abuse the vehicle Will most of your driving be in the city or on the highway Etc. Identical vehicles built on the same assembly line on the same day may last a different amount of time. Also, sometimes parts fail for no real reason, they just break. If the cost of repairs is too expensive sometimes the vehicle is simply sent to the salvage yard. Sometimes this can be a judgment call by the current owner as what is considered expensive to one person may have a different meaning to someone else. Similar vehicles, pick the one you like best.

Z71 without a doubt!! I own one and the pep in the engine and towing capabilities are absolutely exceptional. You won't be sorry with the 5.3 L engine!! Enjoy.
