I think you have way too much time on your hands to be thinking about stuff like this. I have heard stories about snakes coming up through the pipes, though.

It's one of the grossest feelings ever. I don't know about diseases, though. I don't think you can catch much. Just wipe it off quickly. Yuck.

It's grose and annoying but i bet it has happened to everybody. I don't think you can catch any diseases that way.
