the embargo of cuba is a waste, and does no good.
Embargo's often hurt the people, not the gov't. Iraq is a good example of how a embargo hurts people, not the leaders.
It's time to end the embargo on peacful Cuba.

the point is that we dont want to support a dictatorship in the here and now. not to mention the still sour taste of communism that is previlent there. what about China you say? well at this point we will probably just keep up the embargo with Cuba until Fidell is dead so that we dont make our past leaders look like idots... if we just lift it now than what was the point this whole time right? hmmm... remnents of the Vietnam conflict arrise when i say that...

There is no point to it. It's only the people of Cuba who suffer. Not to mention that we get deprived of all the good things made in Cuba, like Cuban Cigars...they are the best.

The point 40-some years ago was to get Castro and his new government to crater. It didn't work, except to put undue hardships on the people of Cuba and send many of them running to the U.S.

To punish the Cuban government (via their economy) for failing to agree with the USA.
Wow! Certainly brought Fidel to his knees, didn't it?! :-))

We don't condone Communism. It's a government ploy to try to control their government.
