No it shouldnt bc it dosent get into your blood stream and it dosent have the same hormone as other birth controls do

I have the Mirena....and I haven't gained any weight. I asked my Dr about this and he said he hasn't had any patients gain weight from it.

Everyone is different.

I don't see why it should. But be careful of sexually transmitted diseases.
