Half of the elderly population of Michigan and Ohio is currently driving or preparing to drive down I-75 toward Florida as I write this.
The other half are flying later.

One of my neighbours goes to Italy for summer & comes back to Oz for our summer. One of my friend follows the snow around the globe. My nephew at age 29 quit last year at Uni to chase the best surf. I stay away from the wet season in Brazil.

yes, I have met many who move to warmer climates in the winter, here we call them snowbirds. they are mostly senior citizens and the long winters are hard on them.
