As members of the LGBT community, their friends and/or supporters,
We respectfully petition yahoo answers to take punitive action against the repeat offenders in this catagory who condone, promote and actively participate in gay bashing, harrasment, cloning and spreading hatred.
Currently known offenders (those who habitually make post after post) with no other purpose than to do the above listed items are:
Olga, Helga, Rose P, Gothatesdicksuckers, oogle , Susan,***********,oldga S,njgger6,

Since we believe many of these handles are the same person, we request tracing to the source computer and a banning of that computer for access to your domain u

We are also quite sure there are enough of us that would volunteer for monitoring positions for this catagory, or perhaps you could make asking questions limited to those who have answered a given number of questions in this catagory without significant thumbs down to their answers.

A point of information, I report and report, I rate and rate, and you will not find any answer from me to these people for a long time now. Reporting has not seemed to have much affect, and I believe in free speech, I do not believe that promotion of killing, maiming, bashing and frequent harrassment is acceptable behavior and that sanctions appear to be necessary. Since these folks keep coming back under new names the only effective answer would seem to be a trace to their computer and banning them from access.

An error on my part has been pointed out. It is not Rose P who should be on the list, it is Whiterose who is the homophobic vigilante.

No. solutions works great for the 2d,and Yahoo could truthfully no longer be inspired to make to any extent further changes for a on an identical time as. it style of looks like quite a few few months there is a few thing else, the final one in all be conscious being the removing of the information message boards. enhancements are great, yet there is a few thing to be suggested for no longer fixing some thing that may no longer broken.

If the people in question are violating the guidelines:

http://answers.yahoo.com/info/community_guidelines.php

Then simply report them. But don't expect Yahoo's admin to do anything about it, especially if they believe in democracy, free speech, and all that.

I can understand how and why some of you feel adamant about this. But one simple solution is to just ignore them, let them have their say, and let people see how stupid they are.

If you feel more should be done, then go to Court. That's what they're for.

This isn't about doing away with freedom of speech like so many seem to cry; it's about repeat offenders who abuse the posting guidelines set up by Y!A. I'd also request that Y!A do a better job with monitoring this forum.

Count me in.

Though I understand the comments of those who say it won't do any good, or that this is censorship, I feel that it's important to ban repeat offenders from any area of Yahoo Answers. So I hereby sign this petition.

I also agree with those who recommend that hateful posts go unanswered, so I'll just keep rating and reporting.

I'm in.

It's true what some of you say, that this is how it is in the real world. But when you have to face this kind of thing everyday, it gets really boring. (also it makes u stronger) it's not that we're afraid to hear what other people have to say about us, it's that we're trying to educated the uneducated. Whether its parading around the streets, or signing a petition...we're fighting for gays and equality.

I hereby sign, and I would like to note that the only ones that are posting "adult content" here are the very same people that you are writing about. Case and point - Olga's answer above. Most, if not all, legitimate posters are asking real questions for real advice.

While I believe you heart is in the right place, I doubt anything will be done to stop them. After all, since they qualify as being mentally incapacitated and are victims of poor taste, they unfortunately have a right to their opinion. No matter how stupid it factually is. They also get better parking...
