None. He was the first to Circumnavigate the Globe. I guess B would make sense though.

( B). Portugal began trading with Ethiopia at about the same time, but Magellan's success proved that the world really was round and that the Pacific was much bigger than anybody dreamed.
As for A, you're thinking of the Treaty of Tordesillas, which divided Spanish possessions from Portuguese possessions. This treaty was signed in 1494, some 30 years before Magellan's voyage.

I don't care about Magellan. In our country, Philippines, he was, and still seen as the enemy who tried to conquer the natives, and he got his @ss brutally killed.
