Ok, me and this girl are like best friends, but I have strong feelings for her. When i told her, she was surprised, she didnt know what to say. She had a boyfriend, but they recently had a nasty break up, and I was the one she came to lean on. Now, when i ask her about her feelings, she will never give me a straight answer. She says she doesn't know if she is ready for a relationship yet, but I hear people talking about her and this other guy. It occured to me maybe she is just afraid to turn me down, with us being such good friends and all. She keeps saying that its nothing like that, but I don't know what to think. I'm afraid I may have moved too fast, too soon. Its just so confusing cause I don't wanna screw up our friendship, but I really think there could be something more to it.

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?
Just remember, take each moment like it will be the last. This I feel will be a good start for you in knowing. Good Luck!!!!!!!

break ups are hard I think u should definitely give her some time to get over her ex boyfriend but in the mean time invite her to the movies or out to eat or to the arcade somewhere and show her how nice and good of a guy u are dont keep asking her about how she feels about u becuz u dont want to scare her away instead just be cool and a good friend once everything clears up a little bit try giving her a kiss and see what happens and what it leads to

She obviously cares about you, but she does not want to date you. Being at a girl's beckoned call may be an attractive quality for a guy friend, but not for a boyfriend.

Unfortunately, it seems like you have to make a choice here - settle for her friendship, or stop being her friend in hopes of being more than that...

Oh - go ahead and screw up the relationship - the sex will be well worth it.
