UnAmerican, inhuman, unconstitutional.

Apparently there was a billboard put up in the State of Connecticut listing the names of all who voted for it.

In all likelihood, since it is a defacto amendment to the Constitution in several areas, it will not stand up, but it could take something drastic to get past it.

I certainly wish the idiots posting in favor of it would read it through. Because they either have not done that, can't read effectively or are pushing an agenda that is sinful.

Listen, the torture you are thinking of is not what we are doing to these people. We do not harm them and we do not chop off their head as they would do to us. There is a HUGE difference. Sure we make them very uncomfortable as hell but so what.

What would you rather us do? Make them coffee? Be Mr Rogers to them? These men are in custody for being terrorists or being tied to terrorists. And if putting them through stress and making them very uncomfortable is "torture" then so be it. We need information from them and they are not going to just tell us. Lives have been saved so far and lives will be saved in the future.

I dont agree with torture in its true sense niether. What they do to their own people and our men and women soldiers is torture. We do not stoop to that level and you know it. So dont be sitting here saying its torture and UnAmerican by doing the little we are doing.

And those pictures from the prison a couple years ago, if you think that is torture then you have problems. US men in our own US prisons get raped every day here, I dont see anyone trying to put a stop to that, because they say 'hey, they got themselves in prison so they get what they deserve'. So embarrassing these detainese or humiliating them is nothing. They gave up their rights when they chose their way of life, not to mention they arent citizens of America so they dont get the rights you and I have. I think we treat them pretty humanely when they probably should be executed right after we get the info we need from them.

Im actually writting an essay about this right now. I am so surely against it, to hear some of the things they do to people who have done nothing to even prove they are terrorists is sickening. After WW2, the Geneva Conventions were written as Im sure you know, and among the hundreds of countries that signed them outlawing torture, the US was among them. And with the new bills that have been passed, Bush is rewritting them saying that they are allowed to be tortured because they are terrorists. In my class, we talk about the steps that seem to be leading towards some of the same things Hilter started out doing. Isnt that ironic.

No real torture just rough treatment and coercion. No one will have their fingernails pulled out or anything like that but we won't have to house them at the Hilton and give them room service now.

I will say it again, inhuman is the slaughtering of innocent women and children not the torturing of those who live for nothing else than to bring death to the person stading next to them.
