Yes. You can get pregnant ANY time you have sex. You could even get pregnant during your period, although the likelihood of that happening is slim.
Birth control alone isn't a sure way to prevent pregnancy either. And the "morning after pill" only has a 70% chance of preventing pregnancy if you take it the day after, and the chances only get worse after that.
Combine birth control with condom use and you'll be safer, but the only way to guarantee that you won't get pregnant is just not to have sex.

You always have a chance of getting pregnant if you have a period. Sometimes its at a higher risk then others. But you can't always be sure and it depends on you. No one is the same.
