My pre-season prediction was:
Seahawks - 37, Colts - 26.
I had a few nervous moments after the Bears game, I admit, but seeing this week that the Bears aren't really that good, nor the 'Hawks that bad did cheer me up.
On the negative side they have ALWAYS had a bad habit of "going soft" at some point, they have to step up the intensity this season and maintain it. They have been playing some pretty sloppy football so far this year and nobody is really shining yet.
On the positive side, they have been playing some pretty sloppy football so far this year and nobody is really shining yet AND still they are 4-1 with big wins over the Giants and Rams. Hassleback is not yet playing really well, Alexander is out for 2 more weeks (after a slow start) and STILL they are 4-1.
I think this is a team that can only get better as the season goes along. This is a team of such depth and talent that they can take the Division and make the playoffs WITHOUT their greatest star. That is a potentially VERY dangerous football team.
IF Holmgren is at the top of his game, IF Hassleback is in his best form of the season, IF everybody is healthy, IF the defense is gelling like it can, IF Alexander and the receiving squad are at 100%, then if I had to meet the Seahawks in the playoffs this year, then my anus would be clenched tighter than Mike Tyson's fist..........

No way! Shaun Alexander is out for at least another 2 weeks. He is their entire offense because I don't think Matt Hasselbeck can lead the team all by himself for the next few weeks. And even when Shaun Alexander does come back, he wont be at his top game. 12-4 at best for the Seahawks and an NFC championship game loss to the Panthers.

The Seahawks need to get past the Bears to get to the Super Bowl. The Bears already embarrassed them once. Do they really need to do it again?

Keep dreaming....the addition of Dion Branch is a plus but not ready yet...when they meet the Giants again it will be a different story without those home grown refs you have up there.

They won't make it again this year, they had their chance and they wasted it, the Bears are going this year. Any body see that game last night? YEAH! Defense wins games. 2 defensive touchdowns and a punt return, plus a field goal to go and win. YEAH!!!!!!!!
