Could I still be pregnant? My fiance and I are trying to make a baby and for this month we have been having sex ever since 3 days (or so) after my ovulation date. I didn't do any formal charting or test to determine my ovulation date, I just went my the counting 14 days before my period due date and by the vaginal mucous (I apologize for grossing anyone out) Also, right now my breast are very tender and over the weekend I experienced mild cramping. Mature answers please.

..also, i would like to add that 7-8 years ago I had a painful d & c. and I don't know if I can get pregnant. My doctor always told me that I have to try first to see and this is my first time trying. I have no other children. Should I still have unprotected sex or can the fiance take a break until next month?

first of all, its best to see if your late before testing because a lot of tests wont turn up positive right away. you need a certain level of the hormone. secondly, dont go by symptoms you say you have either because if you really wont to be pregnant that bad then you will start thinking you feel pregnant even if you dont. just wait and see what happens. if you are trying to conceive there is always a chance you could be pregnant. good luck to you though...my husband and I are TTC as well.

I agree that it is too early for the pregancy test to determine if you are pregnant - to be sure you should wait a week after your period is due. Breast soreness was the first symptom of pregnancy I experienced, along with having to pee quite a lot!!

Also, do you mean you & your fiance have been trying ever since 3 days after your ovulation date, or 3 days after your period? I am not a doctor, but I believe you should be either having sex from about 2-3 days before you ovulate and/or on the actual day that you ovulate to conceive, (these two timings are thought to determine whether you have a boy or a girl - but thats a whole other kettle of fish!!)...this could be why you are experiencing difficulty?
Good luck :)

It could be too early too tell. The test could not be able to detect the hormone in your body yet. The best time to test is after a least a week after you have missed your period. Some say to wait two weeks. Breast tensederness and soreness is one of the earliest signs of being pregnant. Good luck to you!

Hey sweetie, don't get discouraged .If you are due on the 20th try to wait till 5 days after that then retry a test.It still may not come up positive until a few weeks after your period is due. Some women come up positive later then others cause everywomans HCG levels differ. Good Luck, stay positive it'll happen for you.

Wait a few more days and do a repeat test. I know I was barely a day late for my period when I took my first test and I got a barely even there faint positive. I waited another day and sure enough, it got darker and darker...

If after waiting a few days, you still don't get a positive result and your period is late, call your doc and go in for a blood test. That'll be the sure fire way to find out one way or the other.

Good luck in your TTC journey!

You can check your cervix in a few days and see if it's a bluish-purple. That would mean that you're pregnant. Good luck.
