I'm getting a proffessional manicure for homecoming and I have NO idea what any of this means? What do I get if I just want the "fake french nails"?

full set=fake nails
fill= in 2 weeks when the nail is growing out you go in and get them filled
manicure=they soak ur nails, push back the cuticle, file and shape the nail, then paint
pedicure= same as manicure but for feet
repairs=when you have fake nails and they break or crack and are need of repair
polish change=between manicures or fills if you want to change the color, they will do it for you for the fee
parifin= before they polish they dip ur hands or feet in a warm parifin wax then wrap them and let it dry. it is then peeled off along with dread skin, making hands soft.

Finally about a French, it will most likely cost a few dollars more than a regular polish color.
Have fun at homecomming and don't forget to tip your nail tech ar least 15%.

You want a FULL SET. This is when they actually put fake nails onto your nails.
Fills - they fill in the gaps on the fake nails...needed about every two weeks.
Manicure - your natural nails - cutting cuticles, and buffing, and polishing.
Pedicure - toenails. Paint, scrub, massage
Repairs - when a a nil break and you need a repair
Polish change - not a full manicure just change the polish color
hot paraffin wax - a goop you put your hands into that makes them nice and soft.
Hope this helps! Good luck at homecoming.

What's The Diffeence between all of these?
Full Set.....................$35.00, this is what you want for the dance, its the "fake" nails and usually your polish or airbrushing is included, ask 1st to make sure.

Fills............................ when your natural nails start to grow you will have a gap and a ridge between where your natural and'fake' nail meet, either get them filled or removed at this point, if water gets trapped in that gap you could get a fungus and possible infection.

Manicure.................$15.0...just a regular maincure, usually included soaking, triming filing and polishing the nails. sometimes may include a hand massage.

Pedicure...................$25...same as manicure but for feet.

Repairs..........................repair any broken, chipped, cracked, or torn nails

Polish Change..........$5.00 changing of the nail polish, removal of the old color and putting on a new one (this price seems far to high)

Hot Paraffin Wax.....$5.00 you dip your hand or foot in a tub of paraffin wax, then its covered and you sit for 5 -10mins. its very moisturizing. Make sure its a reputable salon that changes thier wax often, you dont want other peoples germs.

It depends on if your hands are in good condition or not. IF you need some work done on your hands and nails to make them ready for the fake ( shudder ) nails, They MIGHT charge you for a manicure, I don't know how ruthless your nail ladies are. But DO go for the hot wax for the hands, its soooo worth it and will be so soothing!! I love it to death.... the manicure should be what you pay for to get the french nails. But are your nails short or long? if you have semi long nails already, just get them done and don't go for the grosssssssly FAKE french nails... they look so FAKE in pictures and they look like Lee Press on Nails, no matter HOW much you pay for them. Sweetie, I begggg you, just get your own nails painted prettily , get the wax treatment and get your eyebrows plucked and your eyelashes dyed or something, just don't do the fake frenchies, they look cheap, sweetie... you'll look back later in your thirties and go , OH MY GAWD.... WHY DIDN"T SOMEONE STOP ME?? lol I did something similar to that in the eighties and no I see the pics and cryyyyyy and my mom goes " told ya. " I have to laugh over it. I don't really cry....
but I should! LOL

But seriously, the nails pckg. should cover your nails fine, but call and ask THEM!! They should tell you for sure ( thats said with a happy note in voice, by the way).
