OKAY so my face ship is kinda round/square its not really a nice narrow, amazzing cheekbones looking...but its alright. SO to kind of cover my lack of cheekbones I always wear my hair down.

my question is, when you pull your hair BACK into a ponytail or bun does that make your face looking bigger, like in a bad way?!?

No it doesn't make your face look bigger or bad. It makes you look young. Besides, you should wear your hair however it makes you feel comfortable. Your beauty comes from the confidence you have in yourself. No one shape of face is any better than another. All are beautiful!

It really depends. Mini Driver, the actress, has a big face so her ponytails make her face look weird.

However, Jennifer Lopez also has a full face but looks great with her hair back or down.

You are also your own worst critic, so you may have nicer cheekbones than you think.

I'd wear my hair in a ponytail a few times and see what people say, especially friends. If they say nothing and then you wear your hair down and they say they're glad to see it down again, you'll know no one really digged the tail ;)

Great question.

This is not a direct answer, but why don't you try it for a few days and see what comments you get from people who know you. On some people, I love to see the hair pulled back. They have a very nice face and the hair seems to hide it. Just a thought. Good Luck

No sometimes it will give your fact a more slimming appearance depending on if you wear makeup and how you wear it. Using a mixture of both dar and light foundation you can slim your face but using the dark and ligh like shading when you do art. There is a book out there on makeup tips to remedy these kinds of problems. When I was younger i always worried about things like that but as you get older you will find those things won't matter that much to you anymore if at all and you will also find others don't even notice so don't worry yourself sick about it i'm sure it isn't as bad as what you think it is.

I don't think it makes your face bigger, however, it does draw more attention to your face b/c your hair isn't there to distract the viewer. Maybe wear some make up when you pull your hair back...either way I'm sure you'll look great!

i dont think it looks bad. i have the same exact problem tho and i've learned a couple tricks to help with lack of deffinition. when i get mu hair cut, i make sure to get lots of layers in front, so it breaks up the cheek area. also, i use a shimmer (high beam by benefit) on top of my cheekbones so the light catches it and it looks like i have them. also, i put bronzer underneath to conture. hope that helps

I think it actually elongates the face. By the way - you don't have to have a narrow face with high cheekbones to be beautiful.

you may want to wear your hair down but style it so it doesn't fully cover your cheekbones that just makes you look dumpy. also try some blush on your cheekbones to make them look a little better
