I have a 94 ford aerostar and today when i went to leave my brothers house i started the van and it sounded like the rpms where too high. I dont have an rpm guage so i dont know but after a second of it idling high it stalled for 0.1 second and came back on. My speedometer quit working when i took my radio out and tried to put in my cd player but the needle would still jump up and down and my miles would flash but that was a while ago that i took my radio and nothing has been wrong. But since yesterday my door ajar light has been on even when i make sure that all my doors are shut and my speedometer dont jump up and down or my miles dont flash so i have no clue what is going on. So if any one can understand what i just said and can answer it please help me. thank you

and another thing that i forgot is that my air condition compressor locked up on me so in order to get heat i had to unplug the sensor on the compressor but my door ajar light was one before i did that so if unplugging the sensor may have caused the problem then please let me know thank you

Definitely an electrical problem.
That's one of the draw backs with the newer technology. The more bells and whistles there are, the more chance for something to go wrong.
Better not opt for a "shade tree mechanic" on this one.
