St Aidens is actually a block of exclusive apartments(on the outside). The inside is filmed in a disused maternity ward at St Lukes in Bradford
The apartments are at Scarboroughs South Bay.

It is filmed around Scarborough. The building was really a hospital until about the 60's. I remember hearing an interview with one of the guest actors in the first series. He thought it was amusing, because he was born in the Maternity wing. His Mum had told him in exactly which room.
