My OB has told me that the first month after you stop taking the pill, the chances of getting pregnant are very rare. The pill is taking everyday so the dosage is for that day, that is why yoru dr tells you that you should take it areound the same time everyday.
I know if you have a regular 28-day cycle, which you were on the pill so im assuming that you are -- you ovulate 14 days before you are due for your period. I love www.mymonthlycycles.com It helps you keep track with your period and when you should get it -- as well as when you ovulate and when you are less/more/most fertile
Just because he is at a young age, does not mean that he will not have a sperm count. I have researched a lot about this because I am planning on getting pregnant myself and have been off of the pill for my second month now. It is best that you have sex every other day -- but if done everyday, it is best to have sex first thing in the morning, when his sperm count is the highest.
Good luck

I don't think that any of us can really tell you your chances. It is pretty known that it takes your body some time after getting off the pill to start really ovulating again. When you are on the pill it is just a fake ovulation. Your body doesn't really released an egg. They often say it takes a couple months to get pregnant and for your body to start working again. However, you always hear those stories about girls missing one pill and ending up pregnant. I guess anything is possible. Good luck.

If this makes you feel any better, my sister stopped taking the pill and got pregnant within 5 weeks.
No joke!
Her and her hubs decided they wanted a baby. She stopped and everyday they hit it!
Boom, she was pregnant.
One suggestion. Take your temperature in the morning with a normal themometer under your arm. If you notice a higher temperature one morning (ex: it was 96 on monday and tuesday but 98 on wednesday) you are probably ovulating. ALso look when you wipe, if you are getting "juicier" having more secretions. You are probably ovulating. Hit it when you see that. PRONTO!
Just be really passionate, really love each other. Most important, make sure that you climax. When a woman does that, her cervix dips down in response to the reaction, that slightly opens it and causes it to take in LOTS of semen. This will help you get pregnant. So don't tense up and just let him do his thing....GET into it!
I think you have EXCELLENT chances and I wish you the very best in babymaking.
By the way!!!!! I am the mother of "soon-to-be" five. I got pregnant with my second child on birth control!

Yes, it is possible to get pregnant right away, but everyone is different. So don't be dissapointed if you don't get pregnant right from the get go. Experts usually say have sex one day then wait a day for his sperm to build back up. Sperm can live unto 7 days in a woman's body. Really their is no way to tell what your chances are because your body will be different from everyone elses in the world.

go to mymonthlycycle.com and track your ovulation and then have sex every day that week - having sex every day is nice but it does reduce sperm count and quality - i know your husband feels lucky, but give the man a break! good luck!

My boss's wife coordinated a trip to Italy for her and her husband to relax right around her expected ovulation time. She had JUST gotten off the pill, and lo and behold, she came back preggo. I hope it happens the same for you!
