Good question. Some 40 plus years into my life, I'd have to say that I don't know of anyone who hates men alone. I can remember a few who hated everyone.

Nicolas Chauvin, an fanatical admirer and soldier of Napoleon 1, harbored irrational and boastful contempt toward others who did not share his views and principles. The character Chauvin in The Tricolor Cockade (1831) placed the term 'chauvinism' in the French language. 'Chauvinism' is similar to the English word 'jingoism'.We can find the descendents of Nichols Chauvin everywhere in the society. Their personal predilectios may be different but the hatred of men per se is a common factor. The story goes of one misanthrope who preferred to stay alone in the jungle just for this hatred. He preferred a wild beast who straightway attacked man but not a man 'who would laugh along with you while he wielded a knife in his hand at the back to stab you.

It appears you have not ever come across any of the species. You are lucky and wish all the luck in the world for you. A brush with a misanthrope is both unsettling but also evokes pity for the man for what Shakespeare describes 'man, the fine work of god n thouht so lofty, in deeds so noble....

Well, if you watch HBO .. you heard of the "Ice Man" .. he killed a lot of guys. He was a psycopath; true. But he probably also hated men in general. Good Luck! :)
