its because Malawi does not regularly allow any foreigner to the country to adopt a baby. Only about five families have been able to in the past couple years. So i think many people find that they are bending the rules just because she is a celebrity.

She's pure trash in every way.

She bought the kid for money as a publicity stunt. She paid judges, officials, police everybody she had to.

She literally paid the politicians and judges tens of thousands to ignore all of Malawi's laws and just give her the boy. Several Malawai and international Human Rights, Children's Rights, Religious and adoption organizations tried desparately to at least slow down the process so that it could be investigated but she simply bribed everyone in sight including police and customs to get the boy out of the country as fast as possible.

One of the HUGE problems was that her agents during the adoption promoted her as a good Christian lady to the boy's father, who as a devout Christian himself was very pleased. When it was discovered that she and her agents were lying through their teeth and in fact she was a rabid, militant anti-Christian who mocked and denigrated the Christian faith, then the sh*it really hit the fan....

There is no doubt that Malawi is a hellhole and the poor children need help, even homes. Maybe the child in the end will be OK, but just because a puppy is abandoned and starving on the street doesn't meant that its better off at the university research labratory...........

"Madonna" is human garbage.....

The only people who should really give a goats *** are the children who were interviewed and subsequently passed over in favour of David. Who knows why Madge does what Madge does. Perhaps Asian kids and toy dogs were out this season. I have it on good authority that little nappy haired children will be hotter than Luis Vuitton bags on 5Th ave this spring! Look for this hot new "item" to find it's way into a lot of a-lister homes soon! You heard it here first.

Now before you go hating on me, I don't have the money to adopt a child - right now - but I do support one in Sudan unbeknown to friends, family, the media and the rest of the Western world. This stunt begs the following question: was Madge motivated to save a life or salvage a career?

Whoever said Madonna needs publicity must live under a large rock. She just finsihed one of the highest grossing tours for any artist. The only concern I have is I hope his Dad and family will be able to visit him and such. This would be odd if she just adopts him and then he is supposed to forget his Dad because he is poor. And for all the fools who may say because he is black-you are racist. Why don't you go and adopt a child in need before being critical of Madonna because of her race and/or celebrity?

They (the media) think she was given special treatment because of her celebrity status and that sped up the adoption process. So what if it did- the boy is going to have a good home now.

the "big deal" is that it appears that she paid the government a whopping 3 million in order to arrange this...when the government there almost always prohibits international adoptions. So it looks like she "bought" the kid.

I have a problem with all celebrities who adopt outside the USA.There are plenty of needy children here in our country who need adoption.I feel like these celebrities adopt outside the US because they think its cool.It truly makes me sick.
