I love your question. the best selling laundry detergent is the one that you can afford a the time of your wash day. lol.
okay but, one the real side I heard that the best one to use would be the laundry detergent that don't make a lot of soap. That is the key to good washing. Don't let all these new brands fool you. because I love Purex and Gain but because i see so many people using Tide I sometime feel embarrass using the others. So I bought Tide and it did not work for me. So the answer to your great question I would say Tide is the best selling laundry detergent but not the best one.

I add Oxy Clean to every wash and even the cheapest laundry detergent works great! I used to only buy Tide and then I bought some Oxy Clean and used it with my sons socks that looked dirty even after being washed because he would play outside in them, and when they came out of the wash they looked like brand new socks! I had washed them with Tide a million times and they would still look dirty. Then I was at my grandma's and had to do some laundry, luckily I brought my Oxy Clean with me because I was helping her clean her tile grout (you can use it on EVERYTHING!) and she has the cheap cheap cheap detergent, but the clothes came out just as clean as they did with the Tide because the Oxy Clean works so well.
They now have the Oxy Clean ball, which you put in a holder and leave in your washer until it runs out, so you never have to add detergent to your washer. It works great but it seemed run out faster than a big thing of liquid detergent does, and I buy the big bucket of Oxy Clean powder anyways because I clean every thing, and I mean every thing, in my house with it, so I just use the cheap detergent now and a scoop of my Oxy Clean!

Wisk is the best on everything except black jeans--then you need Woolite dark. Also Shout stain remover and Bounce outdoor fresh complete the job. You will be very happy.

Tide if you can afford it tide if you are on a low budget I have to say Arm in hamor .
