You could consider a GPRS card for your computer. These use the same technology as an internet phone, but usually slot into a laptop. You have to pay either a subscription fee or a pay-as-you-go charge per megabyte of data transferred.
These almost always work out more expensive than a phone line.
Satellite broadband WON'T work, because that requires a combination of a phone line and a satellite reciever. You can't have a satellite connection without first getting a phone line put in.

Most cable companies now provide internet access or you may be able to get high speed access from a mobile phone provider or you could go for satellite internet access. All of these will cost more than a phone line, the satellite a lot more.
If one of your neighbors has internet access you could try asking them to let you have a wireless connection.

Check with cell phone companies covering where you live. Companies such as Cingular, Sprint, etc offer data service. An accessory card acts as a cellular antenna. It's not cheap, but you're low on options.

Some cell phone companies allow for computers to access the internet through cell phones...but of course, that access will be charged to your cell bill.

you can get an aircard from a cell provider and this would connect to a usb port on your pc. This uses the providers wireless network. There are adapters that I think u can also use to connect thru your phone.

Satellite, but it is expensive. If you have a wireless adapter and a laptop there may be free wireless sites in your area as well.
