I am an American and am not fond of nuclear weapons, but I don't understand why everyone is acting like North Korea doesn't have the right to have them. Aren't they their own country? Did they sign some treaty stating they would not own nuclear weapons?

Excuse me..........but are you really that ignorant???? N. Korea gets most of it's money from selling weapons. Do you honestly believe they won't hesitate to sell "nukes" to terrorists or any other country that hates the USA?

Yes, actually I believe that the Untied Nations does have an agreement that they will not have weapons of mass destruction ie. the nuclear weapons they have in their possession! Also why are we just suppose to sit back and ignore the fact that they have this and that we are not on the best terms w/ one another!? They have threatened us before, so why not be afraid another tragedy like 9-11 will happen again. Our politicians and individuals that specialize in terrorism are just looking out for us...Their countries best interest!! That's all. Think a/b this one though, why are they going to allow themselves this "right" to have this weapon but restrict their people from simple rights we Americans take advantage of today!?

Ok, see, you can't compare North Korea to the US. First of all, North Korea is under control of a dictator, namely Kim Jong-Il, who let millions of his people starve to death and has in place an undemocratic system. He is clearly dangerous. Also, they pulled out of the Nuclear Proliferation treaty, a very bad sign, and can you imagine a country run by a crazy dictator who cares nothing about his people... WITH NUKES?

It is not North Korea which doesn't have any right for nukes but all the Communist countries in the orld shouldn't have any right to anything at all. Because the synonym of communism is under-development and going back to the primitive world.

It'snot nukes but Communism that should be eradicated from the face of the earth.

The US Administration has scared the American public each time a country builds nukes because they want US citizens to follow the un-democratic goals of the thieves who stole the US government.

At the same time, the countries with nukes are frightened too because the US government threatens them with US military power all the time.

In the end, the crooks who stole the US government are frightening everyone around the world. N. Korea apparently concludes that Bush has proven that he will resort to mass killing instead of diplomacy.

But if this Administration and their proteges are voted out of office, a new wave of worldwide negotiation and diplomacy will take place to straighten things out. Even though Republicans call that strategy "weak", they too will have to fall in line for world peace. It's been already shown that the Republican demand of "their way or the highway" is destructive to the world. How many countries can they bomb, for Heaven's sake?

Volunteer for poll watching in your district and demand emergency paper ballots now. Your governor can provide them so that the vote can't be stolen this time with rigged voting machines.

i completely agree with you on this. north korea should have the right to make and have nuclear weapons. as much as they are isolated, they are still a country (thts why their called north korea) just like the US. I am asian, but not korean, and I feel that America is going way overboard with trying to control other countries. my school is really diverse, but other caucasians just think that "china is crappy, japan is tiny... and OMG, america is da best!!!". they are really wrong that they dont take anyone else seriously. the US is really gonna get hurt if they keep butting in to other ppls business. besides, nuclear weapons are for protection... that's why the bullies (US) can't do anything about north korea.

and they do have the need. their country will be gone without protection... hello?? iraq didn't have nuclear weapons as threats... look what happened? Kim Jong Il isnt crazy... he has guts to go against the US so openly... and not everyone will end up like hitler...
bush might... but that's another story.

They have the right, but what they don't have is the need. While Kim spends his country's funds on creating nuclear weapons his people suffer from hunger, famine, no power, etc... If they were simply producing nuclear technology for their countries gain that would be one thing. But making needless weapons is entirely another.
