no it is not sorry the pirhana is native to foreign countries and australain laws state that we are not alowed to have them

I don't know about australia, But i know it is possible to have them at pets,( maybe not legally, i don't know. where I live you can have them) My friend has one red belly ( had two but the one ate the other) She feeds it 50 feeder fish about once a month and it has never gone after her hand when she cleaning the tank (maybe not the norm so I wouldn't try that) there a rather boring fish, don't move much and they eat at night and don't like to be watched while they eat so no action there.

I don't think getting a pirana is a good idea, because one day, you will *mysteriously* disapear.

you can but most pirahna live in the amazon so they are going to be streessed out when they get to you
