Yes it does hurt, but its one of those pains that you absolutely forget.
I can only give an example as a very uncomfortable belly ache but down below, the main thing is that the midwife is on the ball for the size of your baby as this all helps, my baby's head circumference was far bigger than expected so that made it really sore & difficult as it tears you, other than that its a sail!
Never be put off by it!

I only know, that during labor, although uncomfortable, I knew it wouldn't last for more than a day, and the result would be so wonderful it will well have been worth the pain. It was, and obviously most women feel that way. There are breathing techniques and/or medication that can be used if you or the baby are in extreme distress.

Its alot of discomfort and pressure. The real pain dosent come until the head starts to peak through. Now thats some horrendous pain! You just want to cancel the whole thing. I went natural, though but its worth it,being able to feel your baby's birth. But once its over, its over. Its not so terrible that you need the medication and all its complications.

Yes, even with the epidural you can get what is called a "hot spot" and feel every bit of the pain in one place...it's not very comfortable. Which my mother was opposite she had 4 kids and no epidural and said it just felt like a big period cramp to her.

I'm a guy and i know the answer to that question.
Believe me, it hurts the woman and SHE WILL LET YOU KNOW!
That and whenever the kid misbehaves he/she will hear about the pain they caused and the mother had to go through. I kinda wish it was mutual or something... but the mom earns the right to complain haha.

Hmm now let's logically think a/b this one. A woman is pushing normally a 6-9 lb. human out of her vagina! They use a numbing aide to inject into her spine so she won't feel it! BUT some women choose to have it natural which means nothing to numb her whatsoever! Now you think a/b that one and come to your own conclusion!
