I bought a PS1 game and the games won't save on the PS2 memory card. Is there a way around that, or will a PS1 memory card fit into a PS2? Please help,. Thanks.

PS2 memory cards are not formatted for PS1 games. You will need to insert a PS1 memory card in order to save.

As others have said you need a Ps1 memory card to save Ps1 games, though there is a trick where you can transfer data from a PS1 card to a PS2 card, let's you store more, though you cant play it while it is on the PS2 card, but rather than buying say 9 PS1 cards, you can just use a Ps1 and PS2 card for the same amount of space.

The PS1 and PS2 memory cards are not in the same format. If you try to save a PS1 game on a PS One memory card, you will get the same reaction. Even some of the Mad Catz memory cards that have bigger storage than the regular memory cards wont take any games on it because it is formatted differently. You're best bet is to stop being cheap and go ahead and fork out the 30.00 for a PS2 memory card

buy a ps1 memory card put it in your ps2 and save ps1 games to it sorry but you cant save ps1 games with ps2 memory card or ps2 games to ps1 memory card it just wont work

the ps2 memory card is more advanced then ps1..u can still read the ps1 card on ur ps2 though..but no diff...and also the ps1 card is not so advanced...but the ps2 card is

pretty sure ps1 mem. card works wit the ps2 not totally sure ask people at a gameing store they dont know anything about video games but they MAy be a help (somewhat)
the proble could also be your mem card some currupt files messing with the save prosses if you have more then one test it out..
that all i can say now (i dont even own a play station)

I don`t really know why Sony dind`t decide to let people save games on the PS2 memory card, but it might be cuzz is a more advance or different fomat.
