If she doesn't take him to court over child support then there won't be a problem. But every parent has the right to know their child. Of course this is after the child has been born. As long as she doesn't go on welfare or sue him for support, he will not have to pay for anything if she doesn't want him to. However, all children should know where they come from. She should want to involve the father as much as possible. They can come to some kind agreement so that the baby has two parents. It is the baby's right. The mother needs to stop being selfish and think of what's best for the baby and not for the father. it's not the baby's fault that she was having sex with a minor.

If you are not married then you do not leagaly have to name a father on the birth certificate. Therefore the father will not be known. If her parents should inquire as to who the father is they do not have to know because she is 18. The woman would have to place a complaint with the friend of the court to have the father pay support. If she does not do this then the system would never know who the father is therfore not pushing the issue of child support. I just hope for the sake of the child the father would be wiling to step up and pay for the welfare of the child.
