My dreams hardly ever make any sense, and are fairly surreal and quite bizarre...and i have a tendency to become part of another person's consciousness.
To explain: I'm dreaming (though I may not necessarilly be aware of it) and even though it's in the first person, I realise that this is not me, but some other person, I have merely become part of their consciousness and am seeing things through their eyes and experiencing what they experience...and I do mean experience it, from emotion to physical pain...I've been through feelings of love, grief and joy and other things...the most intense dreams I've had were always of this 'First person subconsciousness' as the 'host' as I refer to them, is never aware of the other conscious presence.
The most emotionally intense dreams I've had were, when I was part of the consciousness of a young school-teacher, one of her students had fallen from a tall tree and died as a result...she attended the funeral...she broke down crying, I experienced the emotion of grief and it absolutely overwhelmed me, I woke up and discovered that I had actually been crying in my sleep...
This other one I had recently, this time my host was a mother whose son had been taken away from her...I won't go into too much detail but I know that 3-4 years go by before she finds him. She approaches a woman, who had been taking care of a bunch of foster kids and tells her in what room she can find her son. I experienced, thoughts and emotions, she was a little worried and there was this overwhelming longing, it was hard for her to control her emotions...finally after getting up the stairs and to the last room on the left...she opens the door...he's in the back left hand side of the room, his back is turned...he hasn't noticed her yet, by this time, it's a real struggle for her to keep herself from crying. She approaches him and kneels on the ground, and gasps a little from the effort of keeping the emotion in, and he finally turns around...I, the consciousness in this woman's mind, can see the recognition in his face as she spreads her arms and he rushes into them...and that's where she lets it all out...she cries, shuts her eyes while the name 'Danny' goes through her mind over and over again, as well as the words 'at last' and images...I swear, memories go through her mind of 'Danny' as a baby and little kid - and I find myself, not the woman thinking, aaw, he's so cute...it was then that i woke up with a snap and yeah...I'd cried in my sleep again...
It's weird and hard to explain...I've never met anyone whose had these type of experiences while dreaming, I swear that the pain and emotions are REAL...
Well, those were the dreams that made more sense, my more bizarre dreams range from world war 5 (yes, i know...), with Julia Roberts running alongside me, and Martin Short being the ticket guy for the rocket to salvation...
