Why the h$#! were you IRONING a $350 jersey???

Burnt usually means it's toast.

And, let me just add...it's not worth $350 anymore.

Sorry but that sounds like it s R U I N E D, just cough up the $350 and buy your hubbie a new one.....if part of the jersey is stuck on the iron, its no way you can repair that, the way you are explaining this, their has to be a big hole or a nasty scorch on that shirt ....confess, because you know and I know you will never fool him, especially if it's a "Sports Jersey".. one of his pride and joy items....Excuse me but aren't Jerseys wash and wear

usually authentic jerseys ($350) are embroidered, so yours must be, right?

Anyway, hopefully it was over the jersey number? If so, you can go to a t-shirt/embroidery shop and have them make a number out of material and sew it on top of the burned spot.

I accidentally put a jersey in the dryer. They removed the burned number and sewed a new one on. You can't even tell.

that was a diggity-dumb-a$$ thing to do! If you're going to iron a jersey, lay a towel over the jersey, then iron. let the steam penetrate through the towel to get the creases out of the jersey! Geez.

sparkling your iron's soleplate to eliminate scorch marks from the soleplate of your iron, scrub it with a paste made via heating up equivalent factors vinegar and salt in a small pan. Use a rag dipped in sparkling water to wipe away the the rest residue. solid success !

Next time, place a towel over the jersey before ironing.

I like Glo River's answer. If for some reason that's not a good fit for you, call a good local drycleaning establishment and ask for their advice.

I would say if you have household insurance, throw it away.
Report it as stolen from your washing line and they will hopefully buy you a new one.
Failing that, your hubby is going to be asking you for a lot of 'favors' if ya get my meaning :-p
