that's the way football works. the top picks usually wind up at crappy teams. give it a few years and AZ may become a powerhouse.

I disagree. I think Matt Leinart is NOT being "wasted" in Arizona. This team does have some talent. Great running back, good young receivers. Leinart gets a free pass this year. They will have a losing record, get another high draft pick. Maybe this could help put young players around Leinart who will get better each year.
Only drawback is they are coached by Dennis Green who has proven he is NOT a winning coach. Nice move firing the ofeensive coordinator today instead of taking some of the blame himself. Idiot !
As for Leinart going to Oakland or Washington. You've got to be kidding. Those teams are worse & show zero signs of getting any better. Daniel Synder has also proven he is another ego-maniac owner who has no clue on how to spend his money on free agents.

That is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard. The Cardinals should have a much higher win % than they have. They have excellent WRs in Fitzgerald and Boldin and a great RB in Edgerrin James. Good QBs usually go to bad teams (like when Peyton Manning went to the then-horrible Colts with the #1 pick) and the good QBs can pull the team through. Did you see him play yesterday? His play would have been spectacular for a veteran QB, and the Cards lost the game for them against a great team. The Cards will be much better the rest of the season and in the future.

I think after yesterdays game Arizona will take a different look at things. Leinart is a very good quarterback. But the Cardinals showed up to play and Chicago didn't. Leinart can be the quarterback to take the Cardinals into the playoffs, but Green has to utilize Leinart. I think Arizona can develop to be a very good team once everyone gets on the same track.

Because the Bears weren't playing the way they usually do. Look at the last bit of that game. The Bears came to life and changed it around fast. That is one hell of a defense...
As far as Leinart being wasted...it happens the tops picks go to the worse teams. Look at Alex Smith last year but they are building a team around him but not sure if the Cards will ever be able to do that. Not until they get rid of their owner. He is a curse on them.

Disagree. players like Leinart are, the best way for a team like ARIZONA or, NEW ORLEANS, to improve. You are obviously, a fan of a team that has been successful for some time. enjoy it while You can because, with free agency, it doesnt last.

I definitly agree he is being wasted in Arizona. I think that other teams around the league should be trying to get him, like Oakland, who looks horrible every week and could really use a good QB, or Washington, where Brunell is nothing but mediocre. If Washington could pick him up they would be a much better team.

I agree that Matt is good and that the Cardinals suck. But why would the Cardinals do HIM a favor? They would need Matt to have a chance at winning any games from here on out.
