After a negative blood test for pregnancy even if you had intercourse the night before could a positive even be detected??

No. The hormone in your body hasn't increased enough for the pregnancy tests to detect and/or the pregnancy tests (mainly over-the-counter) aren't sensitive enough.

So you have had a blood test and it came back negative, but you are still worried you may be pregnant. You are a wise woman indeed.

Wait about 3 days then go and take a pregnancy test from your local drug store. They are very accurate and will further backup your test results. The reason for waiting 3 days is to ensure the semen has reached its target and done its job - or not, as it can live for upto and in some cases beyond 12 hours inside your vagina.

Good luck! I think you will be fine - a woman is only fertile for 3 days a month, so there is only a 10% chance you hit the right day, and less that everything else was right.
