Yes, the Amish use and own guns, but believe that to use them for any purpose other than hunting game to be a sin.
Incidentally, the Amish do not wholly reject all modernity. They are allowed to ride in automobiles and will often hire car services for longer trips. They are just not allowed to own cars unless they are adolescents during their rumpringa period. There are varying degrees of the rejection of modern life between Amish districts. They are not entirely uniform in their beliefs about what is or is not forbidden. Some use kerosene or batteries to power electric machinery and other household devices. Some have shanties housing telephones shared between neighbors. They are generally forbidden from keeping telephones in their homes and those who do keep them on their property are usually required to situate them as far from their residence as possible to avoid the temptation of using them for non-essential purposes. Some are restricted to only receiving incoming calls, etc. And these rules are seldom rigid. If a member of a district feels that they need or require a certain modern device for their home or wok that is otherwise forbidden, they may petition their religious leaders to allow the use of items that were formally considered contraband and may or may not be granted permission.

No, the Amish do not believe in modern stuff and gun is a modern thing. In addition, they are pacifists. They even use only horses, not tractor or the likes, to cultivate the land.

From what I have heard/read the Amish are a peaceful non-violent group. They believe in forgiving those who have done wrong by them. Hence why they have forgiven the man who murdered their girls. I know if I was in that position I would definitely not be forgiving!!

Re: The first reply above. How ridiculous. It was a criminal from the outside community. So much for keeping up with current events.

I believe they have them for normal usage (hunting, etc) but they do not use them in self defense, vengence, etc.
They appear for gun shows alot in some states.

Not for their intended purpose. But I guess they could use one as a crow-bar if nothing else was handy.
