I'm 15 years old and I want a part time job. I have been looking online in places like Monster.com and WorkPittsburgh.com but no one hires 15 year olds, only 16+. Does anyone know anywhere where they hire 15year olds. I don't want a job like babysitting, or yardwork. i've done that stuff my whole life. Now I want a real job.

Your age limits you -- but I think it is great that you want to work. Working teaches you the value of your time and the value of money.

Some of the biggest 30 year old losers I know never worked a day of their lives until their parents finally kicked them out of there homes after college. (Big L!!!!)

I worked at the rectory answering phones on weekends around 13 or 14. I also worked at our local library when I was 14 two days after school. I shelved books and found periodicals (magazines) for people. Learned a lot about information, and you wouldn't believe how many cute boys would ask me to help!

I also worked over the summer as a camp counselor when I was 15 and 16....through Girl Scouts. It was lots of fun....and by the time I was old enough for a car and a "real" job (Sears, Baskin Robins) I had lots of experience!

Try something that takes advantage of your personality and enthusiasm or passion....and go for it!

It would of helped if you stated your location. It depends on your state law. Here you have to be 15 and 1/2 and have a parent and the school sign a work permit.

You can work at Mcdonald's, Movies, Bag Lady at Grocery Store, Dog Walker.. Its hard getting a job no matter what your age is.

If you want a good work experience that will help you later on in life. When you turn 16..volunteer in a hospital. It will look great on the rest of your resumes in the future and on your college entrance paperwork.

Start at a grocery store! They have a good pay for a person your age. Usually more than 100 a week.

look for jobs at local ice cream parlors, or waitress at local restraints, gas stations too, grocery stores places like those. Just walk in and ask to speak to the manager and ask if there are ant jobs available.

You are going to have to wait until you're 16 to have a real job. But why are you interested in a real job anyway? Why don't you focus on school and getting your high school diploma. You can worry about making money later.
