It depends on your cycle. When was the first day of your cycle? How long is your cycle? Did you start ttc on your third week? It all depends on all of that. If you were ttc and started last week, it would be to early. And I am even surprised that a doctor would do a blood test that early when you started only last week to have a baby. You need to wait till you MISS your period. Even with that, doctors ask that you wait 1 week AFTER your period to test.

i dont understand why you would take a blood test so early in the piece......generally you should wait until your period is about 7 days late then test.....if you were trying last week there is still a chance that you may be pregnant but you will need to wait until you do another test.....having a blood test measures how much hcg you have in your blood....and you are pregnant if the levels are high....your body in the first 3 weeks of pregnancy will not have high enough levels (unless you have twins)....be patient

You would not have a positive blood test if you only conceived last week - try waiting until you miss a period - why would you have even had a blood test done at this early stage? Be patient!

If you just started trying, its way to early. Wait till you have missed before you start testing. You'll only add to the heartack.
